Banana Republic Email Design
Project Overview: Banana Republic sought to maintain and refine its brand marketing emails, building on an existing aesthetic rather than overhauling it. The focus was on seasonal, lifestyle, and culturally relevant themes tied to key product verticals. Themes varied from seasonal essentials to curated collections, such as travel, weekend activities, or product roundups (e.g., denim or cashmere).
Role: Contract Digital Designer, in collaboration with the Editorial and Marketing teams
Process: Each campaign kicked off with a brief outlining objectives. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to align on goals and then moved through a streamlined process of ideation, design, and iteration.
- Ideation and Sourcing:I selected imagery that aligned with each campaign’s theme, using photos that highlighted seasonal items (e.g., cashmere for fall) or lifestyle needs (e.g., weekend travel essentials).
- Layout and Design: I created layouts that blended Banana Republic’s clean aesthetic with subtle updates, making each email visually compelling and easy to navigate, whether for a style roundup or seasonal collection.
- Review and Iteration: Through rounds of feedback, I refined each design, ensuring that it achieved campaign goals and remained true to the brand’s identity.
Results:The email campaigns effectively engaged audiences by aligning with their lifestyles and interests, leading to strong engagement rates. The gradual evolution of design elements within these emails contributed to a cohesive brand experience that was both familiar and progressively refined, with feedback from stakeholders confirming the effectiveness of the campaign’s targeted approach.
